The Weakest Link meets The Apprentice

If you thought you'd never get to see Apprentice characters Katie Hopkins and Tre Azam in the same room together ever again, you'd be wrong – and thank goodness.

The hilarious pair, along with other also-ran Syed Ahmed, will be battling it out for a second time in a new Apprentice-themed edition of The Weakest Link.

Also rumoured to be joining them are the current series' first victim Nicholas De Lacy-Brown and new comedy favourite Raef Bjayou. And just to make things even nastier, producers are also after Paul Callaghan, who had a fling with Katie while they were both Apprentice contestants.

"This will be the ultimate Weakest Link – nine people with huge egos who have plenty of scores to settle,” said an excited BBC insider. “The producers are hoping everyone doesn’t just gang up on Katie." Yeah, right.

"The aim is to work as a team,” the source continues, “but in reality they’ll be trying to get rid of those they dislike most. At stake is more humiliation.”

Will presenter Anne Robinson deviate from her usual "You are the weakest link – goodbye" catchphrase and opt for Sir Alan Sugar's very own "You're fired"? We hope so…
